Founder Message

The Ngima Dawa Foundation was founded by  Ngima Doma Sherpa, in loving memory of her late husband, Ngima Dawa Sherpa. Having spent part of her own childhood in the remote Humla region of the Himalayas, she intimately understood the challenges faced by the people in these rural areas. During her time, accessing education was difficult, and proper healthcare facilities were scarce. The lack of quality education has resulted in a significant number of children growing up without basic literacy skills, a challenge she herself had encountered in her youth.

The establishment of the Ngima Dawa Foundation is a heartfelt dedication to improving the lives of disadvantaged children in rural areas, including orphans, children with special needs, and those suffering from health conditions such as kidney failure and heart problems. The Foundation's primary objective is to offer educational opportunities to underprivileged children in the Himalayan region, breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting a more equitable society.

Through diligent research and targeted initiatives, the Foundation seeks to identify effective strategies to support these children's education, overall well-being, and promising futures. Furthermore, the Ngima Dawa Foundation actively seeks sponsorship for children whose families cannot afford to provide them with proper education. Additionally, it extends a helping hand to individuals facing health challenges, including heart issues and more health issues, by providing necessary financial support.

Till date, the Ngima Dawa Foundation has successfully sponsored over 200 students in Nepal. Marking a significant impact, 180 families by performing the action toward its mission of improving the lives of vulnerable children and individuals in need.
